I'm finally starting to get RSS feeds working for the site! Whooo!

At the moment, they only show the last 5 posts, and I have to see how well it's working. There are a few issues with showing the correct time and things, so it's definately at "beta" stage.

You should be able to see the orange "rss" feed icon in the toolbar if you're using firefox.

Currently, there is the main feed at http://bootlog.com/rss.php?cat=travelogs which just shows the last 5 posts from all users. Then there are individual feeds for each user, for example http://bootlog.com/rss.php?cat=travelogs&aut=Heather which shows the user's recent feeds.

I hope to extend this functionality so that there is a feed for travelogs, updates, recipes, photos, comments etc. These will be available to the general public.

Then, there will be a feed for each bootlog.com member, which they can customize. So they'll be able to choose a combination of things that they'd like to follow. For example comments on their posts and photos, three friends' travelogs, two friends' photos, updates to the site and recipes. You could then subscribe to the feed in whatever you currently use to subscribe to RSS content, or through your bootlog.com control panel (it will replace the "activity" members can currently see when they scroll down under their control panel)

Also in the works is a little facebook app so that members who are on facebook can have a little bit of integration: show their recent posts on their profile and/or have a notice that they have posted a new article/photo at bootlog.com in their news feed.
