What a whirlwind trip!
I stayed a good few days in Montpellier, catching up with old friends and wandering around the historic centre. I mastered vegan 'cooking' in a hotel room with one bowl, one plate, one sharp knife and a hot/cold tap :D
From Montpellier I road tripped with some other friends going to the PACS (there were two car loads of us coming from the South of France). We arrved on Friday and spent a few magical days at the site of the PACS, complete with dormitories, a kitchen, a pool, a dancing area and more. Furthermore, the guys prepared all the food themselves, it was fantastic. The surrounds were beautiful and a lot of the time was spent huddling around trying to finish our own lyrics to a song to sing to the happy couple. Good times.
On Sunday around noon, I caught a lift with one of the other guests who was returning to Zurich. He kindly drove me practically to my sister's door in Fribourg, and in return I accidentally left stuff in his car meaning he had to go out of his way again to return it :P What a nice way for me to repay the favour ;)
It was wonderful to meet up with Kathy and Richard in Fribourg. I got to wander around marvelling at the buildings and fountains littered about the place. Richard was full of stories about the history of the place. Despite grand plans for hikes, I caught up on some sleep while Kathy worked and we took leisurely strolls around the place in the afternoon.
Black coffee has been growing on me, I may be a convert. There were lots of lovely cafes, and Kathy/Richard managed to find a few restaurants with amazing vegan food. We even managed a trip to Interlaken Ost where there was a lake and lots of mountains. Just how we pictures Switzerland, complete with cows with bells and wooden houses. We went for a long (in my terms, not Richard's I'm sure ;)) hike in search of the mythical "Boningen" (each dignpost we came across seemed to point to Boningen in each direction). We found the town, but not bahis before ingesting a large quantity of delicious wild strawberries.
Today I arrived in Hamburg and Franzisca was waiting for me at the airport. We've been catching up, and are about to have dinner so I'll leave it here for now - and maybe I'll be able to upload some photos while I'm here :)
