Im back....for now
after forgetting my bootlog password for about 2 years i remembered it with jennnys help i think that im probably to lazy to update the rest of my japan travel diaries and the ones for new york but maybe il do it for the next journey out into the world.
The odd thing or two has happened in the past two years but just to outline my current situation in life...im now doing another gap year in Tuebingen, Germany and i am working in a day care centre for severly mentaly and physically disabled adults, in my group we have 8 "clients" as we say, half are in wheelchairs and the other half can more or less walk...i can say very seriously that this is the best job ive ever had!
At times it does get extremely noisy especially when one of my clients is in the mood to scream really high pitched for as long as possible...but coming out of a large family it doesent bother me much.
The highlights of the job includes meditation on wednesday mornings: we put on relaxing music and lay all our clients down on matresses and giant bean bags and we ourselves also lie down on the bean bags and for 1 1/2 hours we just relax and i nap.
During all lunch breaks we all also sleep for an hour...its really crazy i work an 8 1/2 hour shift but come home really relaxed and full of energy.
What also makes a huge difference my colleagues are really chilled and relaxed i get on really well with them which does make things much easier..i think im never going to have such a cool job ever again!
