I had a lovely week in Brittany - so many beautiful seaside harbours and beaches along the atlantic coast/bay of biscay.
We did quite a bit of driving around to get to all these towns and villages - even for an Australian girl I hadn't realised the distances in France. it's easy to forget i suppose when you spend most of your time in Britain.
I don't have any particular highlights - you'll see from my photos how beautiful it all was. I'm very glad to have seen Mont St Michel but everywhere else we went to was just as lovely.
Whether it was the quiet little harbours, or rough coastline, beautiful old towns, or the market in Hennebont. I really enjoyed it all.
For those that know of my anxiety about boats, you'll be pleased to know i even managed to enjoy the ferry journey back to England (we were on an overnight trip on the way to France, so that passed the time quickly!). It was a gorgeous sunny day following the Normandy coastline out to the Channel Islands and the sea was mostly flat, so all good! Just read the papers and my book for the 9 hours it took to cross and then hopped on the train from portsmouth back to London. Was a long day, but another restful one before heading back to work on Tuesday.
Check out the pics in the folder called Brittany, France.
Love Liz x
PS: Amanda & Brian are still there - another week to go of their 3 week holiday (not fair!).
