Hey everyone.
I've just spent a little bit of time going through comments and things to weed out spammers. Not too much, thankfully. Was getting a bit nostalgic about posts from four years ago! :)
So just a celebratory update to say that I'm through assessment for the term! I'd like to improve Bootlog before I go (How many years have I been saying that now?) and will try to fit that in. However between that, my programming job, and another freelance programming job I've been involved in for the last 6 months, that's quite a lot of programming. Maybe I should get out some more, see some sun :P
On a nicer note, I've finally gotten rid of an "under construction" page. The "submit a recipe" link now works in the "recipes" area, so anyone (not just members) can submit recipes. They will, however, be moderated for non-users :) Yay! Feature! I've been adding some new features behind the scenes too, but unfortunately you can't see them, 'cause they're for admin only :o)
If you're interested in the projects I'm working on at the moment, there's one I've been working on for the last year and a half called Got_It ("a complete digital assessment management solution") - see the company's website here : http://damit.com.au/ for details; and the freelance work has been creating the website (except for the graphics) for http://turnstile.net.au/ which has been quite fun and has quite an involved database and CMS attached to it.
I have every intention of updating dear Bootlog when I'm away in Colombia (I leave in 6 weeks). See you then!!! :)
ps: I love how the site proclaims that it is "valid XHTML 1.01"... it may once have been, but I opened it up to find that I had 104 examples of why it was not. *cough* time to see to that then! ;)
