Please - if you thought you signed up to somebody's mailing list and haven't been receiving emails, it's because IT WASN'T WORKING. If you didn't get a confirmation email from Bootlog then you weren't signed up. So go forth and try again :) :)
Also, you should be able to upload photos (there was a small glitch to do with space, but it's been ironed out).
